Floyd Francis Salas was born in Walsenburg, Colorado in 1931. He attended various San Francisco Bay Area schools before graduating
with a BA and an MA from San Francisco State University. He has been a teacher, poetry coordinator, poet, boxing coach, novelist
and television script writer.
